Joseph grew up in London, United Kingdom, and graduated with a BSc First Class Honours in Natural Sciences from University College London, majoring in neuroscience, and the history and philosophy of science. He has worked as a high school level physics tutor, and as an educational filmmaker. Currently, he is pursuing a master in the history of science at the Ecole Normale Supérieure. In addition to the physical and life sciences, he is experienced in teaching languages and essay writing.
Paul grew up in Casablanca, Morocco in a French-Moroccan family before moving to the US to study Russian literature at Columbia University. While at Columbia, he worked for three years at the admissions office, and was a volunteer tutor helping Harlem high schoolers with Math, English, and SAT prep. After graduating summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, Paul moved to Paris and is currently pursuing a Master’s at l’École Normale Supérieure in literary theory. He tutors for the SAT, ACT, and TOEFL.
Taylor grew up in San Diego and attended the University of Nevada, Reno for both his undergraduate and graduate studies. While working towards his undergraduate degree in mathematics, Taylor was a member of the university's NCAA Division I golf team. After completing his Bachelor's degree, Taylor remained at UNR to pursue his Master's degree in applied mathematics. During those two years, he focused on discrete mathematics with an emphasis in game theory and operations research. Taylor also supplemented his graduate studies with two years teaching algebra at UNR and one-on-one math tutoring for the university athletics department. Additionally, he spent his summers teaching geometry at Saint Augustine High School in San Diego. In Paris, Taylor specializes in a wide range of mathematics tutoring and in test prep for the SAT II Math exam.
Adam holds a Bachelor of Science, with honors, in Medical Science with a specialization in Comparative Physiology, as well as a major in French grammar and literature from the University of Western Ontario in Canada. He also holds a Masters degree in Medical Molecular Imaging at the Université Paris Sud XI and the Institut Curie. Throughout his undergraduate and Masters degree, Adam used mathematics, physics, biology, and chemistry extensively and took advanced level courses in each. Since high school, he has been tutoring students in all scientific subjects as well as in math. Adam also tutors for the SAT and ACT exams, and for the SAT 2 exams in math, physics, chemistry, and biology.
Marine grew up in San Francisco and Paris. She went to high school at EJM, where she earned an International Baccalaureate diploma. She attended Barnard College and graduated with a double major in Political Science and Gender Studies. During college, Marine’s passion for teaching inspired her to volunteer in underserved NYC high schools, where she taught health education and civic engagement classes. After graduation, Marine was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to pursue research in Argentina, where she combined her passion for investigative journalism and writing. Marine’s research has been published in scholarly reviews in Argentina and Brazil, and she has presented her work at several anthropology conferences. She is now living in Paris, where she tutors the SAT, ACT, ISEE, SSAT, and various school subjects.
Originally from Chicago, Jake completed his Bachelor of Arts in history and philosophy at Columbia University, writing a thesis on American conservative thought. He has worked at Columbia's intensive summer enrichment program for New York City high school students, as well as in journalism and music production. Currently, he is pursuing a master in contemporary philosophy at the Ecole Normale Supérieure and the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales. Over the last six years Jake has tutored a variety of subjects from math and writing to piano and foreign languages, and specializes in SAT, SAT subject tests, ACT, and college essay writing.
Will grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska and earned a BA in Anthropology and French & Francophone Studies (cum laude in materia subiecta) from Vassar College. He was very involved on Vassar’s campus, ranging from a position with the Office of Residential Life to leading the all-whistling acappella group. Coming from a research background, Will worked as a research assistant during his undergraduate career and has been selected for research fellowships by the National Science Foundation and Vassar’s URSI program. After graduation, he spent a year teaching English as a foreign language in Marseille and another year serving with the Americorps-funded non-profit organization City Year Boston as a math and English language arts tutor. In Paris, Will is pursuing a Masters at the Sciences Po School of Communication. Will tutors the SAT, ACT, SAT subject tests, ISEE and SSAT exams.
Meg grew up in Arkansas and graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a BA in English. She then obtained an MA in French from Middlebury College and a PhD in French from Duke University. Her research led her to spend a year in Sub-Saharan Africa, where she studied contemporary African literature and culture. Now in Paris, she teaches and also trains adults in public speaking and human relations with Dale Carnegie. At Bespoke, Meg tutors the SAT, ACT, SSAT, IELTS, and ISEE as well as English and writing. She also helps students develop their college entrance essays.
Rebecca grew up in Paris, France, in an French-American family. She studied English at the University of California, Berkeley. While at Berkeley, she volunteered in the advising office and tutored in an elementary school as well as at San Quentin State Prison. After graduating with high honors, Phi Beta Kappa, she taught first grade in Mississippi for two years with Teach For America. She is now studying literary theory at l'Ecole Normale Supérieure and gender studies at Paris 8. Rebecca tutors the SAT, ACT, SAT subject tests, ISEE, and SSAT exams, and works with students on writing and essays.
Jessica grew up in the Central Valley of California. After graduating summa cum laude from CSU Fresno with a BS in Biology and a BA in French Literature, she went on to earn a PhD in Biology from the University of Utah. Jessica subsequently worked as a research associate at CNRS in Montpellier, France and CSIC in Seville, Spain. Her research was supported by prestigious fellowships from the National Science Foundation and the Chateaubriand Foundation and has been published in high-ranking scientific journals. Throughout her scientific career, she has worked extensively with high school and undergraduate students, teaching lecture, laboratory, and field courses. In addition to working as a freelance science editor and translator, Jessica tutors the SAT, ACT, SAT Biology and Math Subject Tests as well as IB Biology, AP Biology, and AP Statistics.
Aysegul grew up in London, Copenhagen and Istanbul and attended an International Baccalaureate high school. She received her BA in Anthropology from Middlebury College and was awarded highest honors for her senior thesis based on her fieldwork with Kurdish immigrant women in Istanbul. During her college years, she also studied abroad in Russia and France. After graduation, Aysegul moved to San Francisco and attended fiction writing workshops at Stanford University. She also received a Master of Fine Arts degree in Writing from the University of San Francisco. Today, she lives in Paris where she continues to write and is a fiction editor for a literary journal. Aysegul has taught creative writing workshops for college students and designed a creative writing class for inner city children in Istanbul. Aysegul tutors for all sections of the SAT and ACT exams as well as the ISEE and SSAT; works with students in writing, math, and English; and helps students with college and grad school application essays.
Madhavan is a professional classical guitarist from India teaching and studying in Paris. He completed a bachelor’s in computer science at Columbia University in New York in 2013. During his time at Columbia, Madhavan worked as a teaching assistant for two years in the computer science department, and served as the instructor for an undergraduate computer science seminar. Madhavan has been a software engineer at tech companies such as ZocDoc and Amazon. He is now involved in a venture that creates networking platforms for classical musicians.
Samantha grew up in Tampa, Florida, and holds a BS in Physics, magna cum laude, from Wellesley College. During her time at Wellesley, she worked as a research assistant in computational materials science at MIT and tutored both in one-on-one and group settings for a variety of mathematics classes. Afterwards, she moved to France in order to study Sustainable Development at HEC. She tutors the SAT 1, ACT, as well as the SAT 2 exams in physics and mathematics.
