Bespoke Education

Bespoke's program in LA helps students prepare for standardized tests, middle- and high-school courses, and college and graduate work. Many of Bespoke's families are bi-coastal, taking advantage of NYC's office when out East and LA's expert teachers when out West. Experience an uninterrupted program of studies that can be coordinated between those two offices. Tim Levin, Founder and CEO

While growing up in New York City, Tim attended The Horace Mann School for fifteen years. After graduating from Yale College, he taught at a boarding school in Massachusetts and then at The Fieldston School in the Bronx. Prior to founding Bespoke Education, he worked in the corporate offices of Kaplan Test Prep helping to train teachers and write course curricula. He is the author of Kaplan's GRE Biology retail book, and he has been an adjunct professor in the Math and Science Departments of both SUNY's Fashion Institute of Technology and Columbia University's Teachers College. Tim also holds a Masters Degree in Education from Teachers College. For nearly twenty years, he has tutored in a variety of subject areas and for nearly every standardized test offered.

Adam Perlman, Director, Bespoke L.A.
Adam received his A.B., magna cum laude, from Harvard College, where he was a teaching fellow and an executive on The Harvard Crimson. He also holds a J.D. from the NYU School of Law, where he served on the Moot Court Board. Before moving to Los Angeles, Adam was a Wall Street lawyer and arts journalist. He specializes in LSAT, SAT, SAT II, college admissions and essay advising, and individual subjects including Latin. Adam is a writer, currently working in television.
Jacob Cunningham, Tutoring Associate
Jacob grew up in Ventura, CA. and earned his B.A. from the University of California at Santa Cruz, where he double majored in history and film and digital media, receiving Stevenson College honors and highest honors in History. He earned his M.A. in history from UCLA, where he also gained several years of teaching experience in the Honors Division and Departments of History and Jewish Studies. Additionally, Jacob has created and taught courses at the American Jewish University and over the past four years has given a series of graduate-level courses at Hebrew Union College. Currently, he is writing a book of history and helping to manage Bespoke's expansion on the West Coast.
Kiran Deol, Tutoring Associate
Kiran Deol is a Harvard graduate and English Major who has been tutoring students since high school and has worked extensively on the college admissions essays.  At Harvard, Kiran wrote a creative thesis under novelist Jamaica Kincaid and has served as a grader for the ACTS.  British born, Kiran has traveled extensively all over the world, including to Nepal where she made an Emmy nominated documentary titled Woman Rebel about women rebel soldiers in Nepal that was broadcast on HBO.  In addition she performs standup comedy all over Los Angeles.  She takes a hands on, fun approach to learning that's catered to each individual student's needs, with plenty of laughs along the way.
Abe Frank, Tutoring Associate

Abe grew up in Washington, DC, where he attended the Sidwell Friends School. He went on to the University of Chicago, where he graduated with honors from the English department, won the Margaret C. Annan Award for creative writing, and worked as a tutor with local middle school students. After graduating, he taught high school English, history, and creative writing as a New York City Teaching Fellow, while simultaneously earning a Master's degree in the Science of Teaching and Education from Pace University. Recently, Abe has spent time traveling in Africa, teaching English and math to primary school students in Tanzania and working on a novel. Abe tutors students of all ages in English language, literature, history, and math, and for the SAT, ACT, ISEE, SSAT, and SHSAT exams. He also coordinates Bespoke's college programs including Bespoke University.

Elisa Lomnitz, Tutoring Associate

Originally from Mexico City, Elisa received her B.A. in English from Yale.  Most recently, she taught in New York at the Cervantes Institute, a non-profit created by the Spanish Government.  As a private tutor, Elisa specializes in test prep (ISEE, SAT, ACT) and language study (Spanish, French).  She has worked extensively with students with learning disabilities and other special needs.  Currently working in the entertainment industry, Elisa is a freelance writer for various publications including Girl World Daily.  And, in case you're looking, she's a YogaWorks certified instructor.

Tara Tomicevic, Tutoring Associate
Tara was born in Croatia and lived in Italy for six years before moving to the US. She holds a High Honors BA from the University of California, Berkeley, in Mass Communications. During college she worked at the prestigious Aurora Theatre Company. She began college admissions consulting her freshman year in college and has regularly helped students reach top universities such as NYU, Emerson, and UC Berkeley by focusing on helping each student demonstrate his or her individuality. She is an experienced K-12 and college tutor in a wide range of subjects.
