Home Schooling

Why home schooling?

Home schooling provides a great deal of flexibility for students and their families. We can home school your child for a couple of days or weeks or for their entire secondary education! If your child cannot or chooses not to attend school for any reason, for any amount of time, our tutors will work around his or her schedule. We will meet you in the comfort of your own home, in the clinic, or whatever other location best suits you. We also have classroom space available in our office for test taking and studying.

Accredited Programs

For full-year students, Bespoke works with accredited distance learning and home schooling programs to make certain that all credits and coursework will be accepted for college admissions. Working with these accredited programs ensures that an official transcript can be issued and makes it easier to transfer credits to other middle schools and high schools. Bespoke has contacts with the NYS Board of Education in order to facilitate completion of required forms, and we assist families in designing a comprehensive program that meets all state requirements.

Special Circumstances

Bespoke can also work with students who are not attending their regular school for a few days, weeks or months due to special circumstances. Bespoke will work with your child's teachers and administrators to make sure that your child stays on track and keeps pace with classmates while out of school. Bespoke can tailor a program that shadows your child's regular school curriculum and ensures that your student will be ready to take the regular exams and finals. Bespoke Education is also available to work over the summer with students who need to complete coursework or do additional coursework when transferring to a new school.

Experienced Tutors and Teachers

Bespoke Education's corps of experienced tutors and teachers truly makes the material come alive for the students. Our teachers have agility with and passion for the subjects they teach. Not only do they make the written materials engaging, but they can also organize educational trips to area museums, historical sites, libraries, and laboratories. By virtue of the amount of time that they spend with students, our tutors also develop a strong mentoring relationship with their pupils.

Test Preparation and College Counseling

Bespoke Education's full-service program can include preparation for important college admissions tests including the SAT I, SAT II, and ACT. We can also offer our home schooling students access to our excellent college counseling program for assistance with applications and essay writing. Bespoke Education's college admissions counselor and educational psychologist are both available to our home schooling students to help craft curricula, administer educational testing, and form college prep plans that best suit each students' needs.

How much does it cost?

Bespoke Education's Home Schooling Program offers rates that are comparable to the costs of attending most New York City private schools. Rates become even more competitive when students take classes in groups of 2 or 3. Bespoke Home Schooling students also receive preferential rates for Bespoke Education's standardized test courses and mock testing. Please call our office for more details.
